Good news is that I'm not dead, the bad news is that Spring Break ended Monday and I am once again taking classes. If you noticed, that's about the time I quit posting every day. Well, that's because school started back in full throttle and I've been going all out to keep up. Not only that but I'm really involved at the Baptist Student Center at my school and it takes up a lot of time. So here's the deal, I'm not going to be posting every day. In fact, I may only be posting around once a week or once every two weeks. Then again, I may post every day one week. What it boils down to is the time I spend posting is directly related to how much free time I have.

Another problem for blogging is that I've started writing my book again. I think if it was printed now it would be about 40 pages long. I know that's not too impressive but it is for me. I might post cool excerpts on here if a short segment of text strikes me as cool or funny.

I'll try to post again soon though since this wasn't a true post. Just wanted you all to know I haven't disappeared quite yet. I'll stop by again soon and tell you all about something else cool.

Also! Has anyone tried making some slutty brownies? If so let me know how yours turned out, pictures are especially good to get!

Be sure to read past posts to find other cool things!

Slutty Brownies

Good people! I bring good news...and brownies.
Well, pictures of brownies.

Which. Were. Amazing.

Seriously, these brownies were some of the best I've ever had, so without further ado, Slutty Brownies.

That's my plate of brownies after cooking. It was destroyed a few seconds later by me. Slutty Brownies are a layer of cookie dough followed by an Oreo middle and finished off with a fudge brownie mix. Making them was easy, just follow these simple steps:
  1. Buy some cookie dough mix (Like some Betty Crocker stuff)
  2. Buy some brownie mix (Go with Betty again, she knows what she's doing)
  3. Buy some eggs and vegetable oil (I used canola because veggies are too mainstream)
  4. Finally buy some wax paper to make clean up easier.
  5. Mix the cookies up according the the instructions and spread cookie dough out on the bottom of your pan. (It should have wax paper down)
  6. Place Oreos in the pan. I used double stuffed because I'm a child at heart.
  7. Mix your brownies up and pour them on top of it all. You may have to use a spoon to spread it all out.
  8. Finally, stick it all in an over at 350 F. I believe it should be pretty obvious to preheat your oven. I'm pretty sure all baking recipes call for preheating.
  9. Let it cook for about 30 minutes.
  10. Get it out of the oven, let it cool, then make your grandchildren doomed to a life of obesity.
That's it. The holy recipe to Slutty Brownies because they are oh so easy to make and know how to satisfy a man. Uhm, I'm going to stop with this analogy before it gets way out of hand.

The moral of the story is these brownies were easy to make and tasted delicious. Take time out of your day to mix some up and dig in. It's worth it.

Haven't decided what tomorrows blog will be about since I've been feasting on these all day. I guess be ready for anything.

Leave a comment below telling about your experiences with Slutty Brownies and how it went with cooking them. Also leave a comment about what you want to read in future posts. For now, enjoy a few more pictures of these brownies and I'll be getting ready for tomorrows post.

P.S.: I almost forgot, I got the recipe off of another blog called The Londoner. I don't feel bad about this, because as I talked to friends and family members many of them had already heard of them. Regardless of any of that, she gave me the basic steps, so props to her post here.

Update -3/14/12

Random quick update. I'm taking the picture down of the brownies because I want you all to be impressed with mine and not make fun of how lame they look beside hers.
Plus there's a few other reasons, but I'll keep them a secret for now.

While I'm doing this I might as well give you all a few heads up about the blog.

I said a few of the things I was going to blog about on the first post but I don't know which you like reading about the most. That's why I need FEEDBACK down in the COMMENTS sections. (For the record, those are not screaming caps but emphasis caps.)
By commenting on what you like and what you dislike I can help create a blog for the people made by the people or something very similar.

Another thing I need to talk about is following. It helps me out personally when people click the follow button in the top left by letting me know I'm doing a good job. Each person who clicks it gives me warm fuzzy feelings inside, and those warm fuzzy feelings drive me to post cooler stuff on the blog.

Well, that's all I have at this moment. Here's a quick recap:
  • Comment on what you like
  • Comment on what you dislike
  • Comment on things you want to see
  • Click the follow button in the top left, just to the right of the search bar
Do all of this, and I'll love you forever. Probably.

Edhellen Armory

Yesterday I promised you all a blog post about about how to beat the crap out of your friends without them hating you. The secret is this, the Edhellen Armory website.

Now, I'll admit, I feel a little bit nerdy swinging a big foam sword or axe around but the cries of your friends in pain should make you fell better about that.

There's official rules and everything, the website even has links to large scale battles people recreate where you'll be surrounded by thousands of others who weren't popular in high school and played Runescape religiously in middle school. Not that I was anything like that...because I totally wasn't...yeah...

Regardless, they're fun and don't cost too much money. They're durable and any minor damages to them can be fixed with, you guessed it, duct tape. It sure has worked for us.

That's all for today/tonight. Tomorrow I'm gonna cook some special brownies that looked absolutely amazing. Not only do they look good, but they're easy to make too. I'll post a picture tonight and show you the recipe and my results tomorrow. Check back then!

I removed this photo because I can.
A link to the picture and website will be in a post not far in the future.

Obviously this isn't my photo. It belongs to the woman who's website i'm getting this recipe off of so all rights to the image go to her. I'll post the link to her website tomorrow, or if your impatient Google "The Londoner."

P.S.: The girl is smokin' hot.

ENO

Well, I might have forgotten to blog yesterday, but I'll make it up to you all by showing you an amazing thing called a hammock. Now I know what you may be thinking, "Easton, I know what a hammock is," and I'm sure you do, however what I'm talking about is an Eagle Nest Hammock. I'm actually sitting in one right now and let me tell you, it's nice. is the website and they have all sorts of cool outdoorsy stuff. It's definitely giving a look at.

I should probably give you a reason for skipping blogging yesterday. I have a friend in the YouTube world who contacted me for a video. We'll be filming for it every night this week and yesterday we got caught up planning it...and watching Star Wars...

Anyway, I'll put out another blog soon about another fun thing to buy. I wasted about half my weekend with them and they're awesome. A hint? You can beat the crap out of your friends with them! Talk to you then.

P.S.: I wrote this off of my phone so I'm not sure if it will look right. It'll take some getting used to so hopefully I didn't make too many grammar errors or formatted it weird.

P.P.S.: Just went back and fixed this post. It looked really weird and was formatted differently than I liked so I changed up the spacing and such. :)

MaryDoodles

Second day of blogging, let's do this.

Uhm....nothing really happened today special...BUT! I do have something special to share with everyone. A YouTube channel I subscribed to last week called MaryDoodles. Basically this girl Mary (just guessing that's her name) draws watercolors that are awesome looking. I'll post a link to her channel here and a link to my favorite video of hers here.
Be sure to check it out.

Sorry that today's blog wasn't that interesting but hopefully I'll do something special for tomorrow.
Check in tomorrow and see

Hello

I've never blogged before, but I suppose there is a first time for everything.

My name is Easton Cole. I'm a 19 year old college student and a lover of many things. See how I tried to sound dramatic there, I'm sure I'll be a world class blogger in no time.

I'll talk about a bunch of different things on here, mainly whatever I feel like that day. Some ideas are food, advice, YouTube videos, music, politics, and Christianity. I might have scared a lot of you away with that last one, but if you're brave and comfortable enough with your own beliefs to hear mine and not freak out, then welcome aboard. I'll try to be involved with many of you if that's what you're looking for in a blog.

Here's to talking with you all again soon.

P.S. To all the grammar Nazi's out there, go ahead and pick the bones clean on whatever I post. I need to brush up on my grammar skills anyway.
